About us
Our Vision
PIDERS is a reliable and trusted NGO with ability to improve the livelihood security of poor households through a diverse and dynamic network of local communities in line with National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty, (NSGRP) MKUKUTA (II) &MKUZA (II). In every intervention PIDERS explore linkages that reach greater number of people, alleviate poverty and save more lives.
Our Mission
PIDERS goal is to reduce poverty by enabling marginalized Tanzanians (women and youth inclusive) to make sustainable improvements to their well being through more effective management of their renewable natural resources.

Our Programmes
Our organization is involved in numerous projects
Agriculture
Agriculture in Tanzania needs intense development to realise its potential. PIDERS helps farmers push up the quantity, quality and value of what they produce. Working with farmers growing crops, keeping livestock and managing fisheries, we help ensure farmers make the most of their land. We share our expertise in growing the most appropriate and profitable crops. We help farmers gain access to high-quality inputs, improve soil quality, conserve water and prepare for climate shocks.
Environment
PIDERS promotes the sustainable management of fields, forests, grazing lands and water resources. We use our expertise in participatory forest and rangeland management to bring farmers, governments and other stakeholders together to make agreements on using natural resources sustainably, for the benefit of all. We help develop plans for the holistic management of landscapes, so that gains from rural development in one region are not cancelled out by losses in another.
Business
Many smallholder farmers lack links to local markets, let alone international buyers. There is huge potential to push up sales. PIDERS and partiners works to strengthen every aspect of farming supply chains, from soil to supermarket. We help farmers build co-operatives, so they can sell in bulk. We bolster first-mile businesses that supply small farms with high-quality inputs. We help businesses gain access to the finance they need and provide training on how to professionalise and fulfill their potential.
How you’re changing children’s lives
